    "Hi Pat

My Dad Roger Ostberg is in your picture sitting next to your Dad. He died in 2003. But I just talked to Marv Chell who is in the picture as well. He remembers your Dad well and went with him on liberty at least once. Maybe Marv is the only one left from that crew? I've got hundreds of pics of the Vulcan cica 1945. My Dad took tons of pics. I tried emailing you but it bounced back. Contact me at gssgss@starmail22.com. thanks

I am still trying to make sense of his service records. I will organize them this week hopefully and get back to you. He worked in the boiler room and I see something about rank fireman first class????? and I know he joined Nov.10th 1944 and discharged on June 20th 1946. As for the ship photo it has no dates or places so I would assume it was take during the time he served. I was able to match it to a photo that someone else had on the internet they had dated 1945. I hope to find some more photos of him and his twin that served on a destroyer. Fingers crossed.
